When your apples turn to lemons 

But the lemonade’s too sweet,

When the agony of victory 

Has left blisters on your feet,

You have to look inside yourself 

To understand the clue.

It’s up to you how you see these things.

That’s why I’m choosing my view.

The view you see is what we see 

Spread out before our eyes,

But even more than that 

A view is how we see our lives.

Each day we choose how to perceive 

Things that have happened, to me and to you.

We can dwell on the past or move forward you see. 

That’s why I’m choosing my view!
